He is a talented horse who has won three of his last four starts including the important handicap at Listowel in September 2022. He is difficult to oppose on current form.

The feature race of the festival is the Ladbrokes Champion Chase, which is a Grade 1 race open to horses aged five years and upwards.
This race has attracted a small but select field of six runners, with Energumene the current favorite.
He is trained by Willie Mullins and will be ridden by Paul Townend. He is considered one of the best chasers in Ireland and will be difficult to beat.

The favorite for this race is Honeysuckle, who is trained by Henry de Bromhead and will be ridden by Rachael Blackmore.
She is a brilliant mare who has won 16 of her 17 starts, including the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2022. She will be difficult to beat in this race.
