Tate McRae Announces New Album ‘So Close to What’ & 2025 World Tour
“I’m so excited to finally announce my new album, ‘So Close to What,’” says McRae. “It’s a collection of songs that I’ve been working on for the past few years, and I’m so proud of how it’s turned out. I can’t wait to share it with the world.”
The album is set to be released on May 26, 2023, and will be followed by a world tour that will kick off in North America in July 2023. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on February 10, 2023.
McRae is a 19-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter who first gained attention in 2020 with her single “You Broke Me First.” The song went viral on TikTok and has since been streamed over 600 million times worldwide. McRae has since released two EPs, “All the Things I Never Said” and “Too Young to Be Sad,” and has toured with Shawn Mendes and Billie Eilish.
“So Close to What” is McRae’s debut album, and it features a mix of pop, R&B, and alternative songs.
The album’s first single, “She’s All I Wanna Be,” was released in October 2022 and has already been streamed over 100 million times worldwide.
