Suns' Grayson Allen could return vs. Timberwolves
Allen missed last game with a non-COVID illness
Backup point guard Cameron Payne is also questionable
The Phoenix Suns could have Grayson Allen back in the lineup when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.
Allen missed Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a non-COVID illness, but he is listed as probable to play against the Timberwolves.
Backup point guard Cameron Payne is also questionable for Tuesday's game with a right foot sprain.
Allen is averaging 10.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season, while Payne is averaging 10.2 points and 3.5 assists per game.
The Suns are 2-1 without Allen this season, but they will need him back in the lineup if they want to make a deep playoff run.
The Timberwolves are coming off a 116-106 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night.
Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards added 22 points.
The Suns will be looking to avenge their 116-107 loss to the Timberwolves on Nov. 1.
In that game, Towns had 35 points and 16 rebounds, while Edwards had 22 points.
The Suns are 1-1 against the Timberwolves this season.
