Alessandro Beltrami passed away at the age of 47

The former player went down with a heart attack

Offanengo is shocked by the sudden death of Alessandro Beltrami. The tragedy occurred on Sunday morning, August 7, 2023, on the sports field of the oratory of Ricengo. Beltrami, only 47 years old, was playing volleyball with some friends when he was struck by a sudden illness.

Despite the timely intervention of the 118 health workers, who arrived on the scene with a defibrillator, there was nothing to be done for the former volleyball player. The heart attack was fatal.

Beltrami, who lived in Casaletto Vaprio, began his volleyball career in Crema, then moved on to Offanengo in 2001, where he helped the team gain Serie A2 promotion in 2004. He also played for other teams in the province of Cremona, such as Crema Volley and Pallavolo Castelleone, before returning to Offanengo in 2014.
