The incident happened at around 5.30am on Wednesday, February 15, and involved two cars.
One lane of the anti-clockwise carriageway was closed between junctions 1b and 30 while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Traffic was held for around two hours while the vehicles were recovered and the carriageway was cleared.
The Dartford Crossing was fully reopened at around 7.30am.
There were no reports of any injuries.
