Raducanu and Boulter Can Fire Britain to BJK Cup Victory, Keothavong Claims
Raducanu and Boulter named in Britain's BJK Cup team alongside Harriet Dart and Katie Swann
Anne Keothavong believes Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter can inspire Great Britain to BJK Cup glory next month. Raducanu and Boulter have been named in Britain's four-strong team for the finals, which will be held in Glasgow from November 8-13.
The pair will be joined by Harriet Dart and Katie Swan. Keothavong, Britain's captain, is confident that her team has what it takes to win the tournament for the first time since 1995.
Britain drawn against Spain, Kazakhstan, and Slovakia in Group C
Great Britain's hopes of progressing to the semi-finals will rest on defeating Spain, Kazakhstan, and Slovakia in Group C. Spain is the top seed, but Britain will fancy their chances of beating both Kazakhstan and Slovakia.
Raducanu and Boulter are both in good form. Raducanu won the US Open last year and reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon this year. Boulter has won two WTA 125 titles this season and recently reached the third round of the US Open.
Dart and Swan potential match winners
Dart and Swann are also capable of winning matches at this level. Dart reached the fourth round of the Australian Open earlier this year, while Swan won the Nottingham Open in June.
Keothavong is confident that her team can pull together and overcome all the challenges in the BJK Cup. She said: "We have a great team. We have three players who are all capable of winning matches at this level. I am confident that we can go all the way and win the title."
