Molumby included in Irish squad for double header
Amid fresh injury concerns, Troy Parrott and Aaron Connolly have been left out of Stephen Kenny's Ireland squad for the upcoming double-header against Azerbaijan and Qatar.
Kenny has named a 27-man squad for the matches, with Birmingham's Kevin Long and Sheffield United's Enda Stevens ruled out through injury.
However, there is a recall for Brighton’s Jayson Molumby, who has been in impressive form for the Premier League club this season.
There are also places in the squad for uncapped trio Gavin Bazunu, Conor Coventry and James McClean, who is back in the fold after recovering from injury.
Kenny will be hoping to build on the momentum from Ireland's 4-0 win over Qatar in March, when they face the same opposition in Dublin on Saturday, May 29.
They will then travel to Baku to take on Azerbaijan on Tuesday, June 1.
Ireland are currently second in their Nations League group, behind leaders Ukraine.
