Manager pinpoints 'haunted' training ground for dismal run π»
Watford head coach Slaven BiliΔ has revealed his belief that the club's training ground is haunted following a dismal run of results.
Watford caretaker boss Slaven Bilic believes the club's training ground is haunted.
The Hornets have not won in their last seven Championship matches, a run which has seen them drop to 16th in the table.
Bilic has revealed that he has been told by several players and staff members that they have seen strange things happening at the club's London Colney training ground.
"I've been told by a few players and staff that they've seen some strange things," Bilic said."I don't know what to make of it, but I'm not going to rule anything out. If there's something going on, then I'm sure we'll find out about it eventually.
Bilic's comments come after a number of high-profile players have spoken out about their experiences of the supernatural.
In 2020, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba claimed to have seen a ghost at the club's Carrington training ground.
And in 2021, Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk said that he had heard strange noises coming from the club's Melwood training ground.
Bilic's comments are sure to raise eyebrows, but it is not the first time that a football manager has blamed supernatural forces for a team's poor form.
In 2017, then-Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri claimed that the club's training ground was haunted by the ghost of a former player.
Ranieri's comments came after Leicester had lost four consecutive matches, a run which ultimately led to his sacking.
Whether or not Bilic's comments are true, it is clear that he is desperate to find a way to turn Watford's fortunes around.
The Hornets are currently without a win in their last seven Championship matches, and they are now just four points above the relegation zone.
Bilic will be hoping that his team can put their poor form behind them when they face Luton Town on Saturday.
