Konate played 45 minutes as Les Bleus match ended 2-2

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate was involved as France were held to a shock 2-2 draw by Israel in a World Cup warm-up friendly on Saturday.

Konate started the match and played the first half, but was unable to help his team avoid a disappointing result.

France took the lead through Kylian Mbappe in the 11th minute, but Israel equalised just three minutes later through Dor Peretz.

Eran Zahavi then gave the hosts the lead in the 56th minute, before Aurelien Tchouameni equalised for France with just 15 minutes remaining.

The result will be a concern for France coach Didier Deschamps, with the World Cup just over a month away.

France will now face South Africa in their final warm-up match on Tuesday, before beginning their World Cup campaign against Australia on November 22.
