House of Horrors as Huge Pile Of Rat-Infested Rubbish To FINALLY Be Cleared

Rubbish has piled up to a height of 20ft at the property in Liverpool after bins were not collected for more than two years

Council officials say they have now served an enforcement notice on the owner

The horrific property is set to be cleared in a huge clean-up operation

Neighbours say they regularly see rats scurrying around the home and rubbish and bins obstructing the path

A huge pile of rubbish outside a terraced house that turned the property into a 'house of horrors' is finally set to be cleared.

After more than two years of complaints from neighbours about the bins not being collected, council officials said they have now served an enforcement notice on the owner.

They said the property in Anfield, Liverpool, is set to be cleared in a huge clean-up operation.

The rubbish started piling up outside the house after the owner is said to have repeatedly refused to put their bins out for collection.

It has now reached a height of 20ft and photos show rats scurrying around the property.

Bins and rubbish are completely obstructing the path outside the house, making it difficult for people to get past.

Pest control experts have also been called to the property, in Anfield, Liverpool, and neighbours say the smell is unbearable.

One said: "The smell is horrific and it's a nightmare for the neighbours.

"The rats are massive and are running around all over the place.

"It's absolutely disgusting and the council needs to do something about it."

A Liverpool City Council spokesman said: "The council is taking action under the Environmental Protection Act to require the owner of the property to clear the waste and bring the site back to an acceptable condition.

"The council has served a legal enforcement notice on the owner with a timescale for compliance.

"If the owner does not comply with the notice the council will arrange to carry out the clearance by default and recover the costs incurred from the owner."
