Full list of Scottish areas where snow will fall as Met Office warns drivers
Drivers have been warned to be aware of snow and ice on the roads after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for much of Scotland.
The warning is in place from 3pm on Tuesday until 10am on Wednesday and covers a large swathe of the country, including the Highlands, Grampian, Central, Tayside, Fife and the Lothians.
The Met Office said there is a chance of travel delays on roads, with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
Some rural communities could become cut off, the forecaster added, while power cuts may also occur.
The warning comes as the UK braces itself for a cold snap, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing overnight.
The Met Office has urged drivers to take extra care on the roads and to be aware of the potential for snow and ice.
