Francesco Bagnaia Clinches Pole Position at Aragon; Marc Márquez Misses Out

Pecco on Pole, Martín on Front Row; Márquez Qualifies 13th

Francesco Bagnaia has taken pole position for the Aragon Grand Prix, with Jorge Martín joining him on the front row. Marc Márquez, who is making his return to MotoGP after missing the last four races due to injury, will start from 13th on the grid.

Bagnaia set a lap time of 1:46.974, just 0.044 seconds ahead of Martín. Aleix Espargaró will start third, followed by Jack Miller and Enea Bastianini.

Márquez was unable to match the pace of the front-runners and will have to start from the fifth row. The Spaniard has not raced since the Italian Grand Prix in May, where he crashed and suffered a concussion.

Bagnaia's pole position is his second of the season, and it comes at a crucial time in the championship. The Italian is currently second in the standings, 53 points behind Fabio Quartararo.

With Quartararo starting from seventh on the grid, Bagnaia has a great opportunity to close the gap in the championship. A win on Sunday would see him move to within 30 points of the Frenchman.
