Bastia d'Albenga welcomes its new parish priest, Don Davide Polini

A new spiritual guide for the community

Sunday, March 5, 2023, was a day of celebration and welcome in the town of Bastia d'Albenga, as it received its new parish priest, Don Davide Polini. The religious ceremony, held in the presence of a large congregation, was officiated by the Bishop of Albenga-Imperia, Monsignor Guglielmo Borghetti.

Don Polini, who is originally from the nearby town of Villanova d'Albenga, has expressed his joy and gratitude for the warm welcome he has received from the community. "I am truly delighted to be here in Bastia," he said. "I look forward to working together with the faithful of this parish, to grow in faith and to serve the needs of the community."

A commitment to service

In his homily, Bishop Borghetti emphasized the importance of the role of the parish priest as a spiritual guide and servant of the community. He urged Don Polini to be close to his parishioners, to listen to their needs, and to guide them on their spiritual journey.

Don Polini, in turn, pledged his commitment to serving the community with dedication and enthusiasm. "I will do my utmost to be a good shepherd to the flock entrusted to my care," he said. "I will strive to bring the message of the Gospel to all, and to accompany them in their daily lives."
