Andy Townsend raves over what he saw West Ham United ace Jarrod Bowen do for England
West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen has been in impressive form for England during the international break.
The 25-year-old has scored two goals in three appearances for the Three Lions, and his performances have earned him praise from pundits and fans alike.
Former Republic of Ireland international Andy Townsend is one of those who has been impressed by Bowen, and he believes that the West Ham ace is capable of becoming a regular for England.
Townsend said: "Bowen has been excellent for England. He's a player who has always had potential, but he's really starting to fulfill it now."
"He's a great finisher, he's good in the air, and he's got a great work ethic. He's also a very intelligent player, and he knows how to find space in the opposition defense."
"I think he's got the potential to become a regular for England. He's still only 25, so he's got plenty of time to develop and improve."
Bowen's performances for England have also caught the attention of Gareth Southgate, and the England manager is now likely to consider him for a starting role in the upcoming Nations League matches against Italy and Germany.
If Bowen can continue to impress for England, he could soon establish himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.
